fashion: all white

It’s not officially Summer yet, but it feels like it. At least where we live. You wouldn’t believe these shots were taken early, and our sun was already high and bright at around 7AM. AHHH. I know. Needless to say, I’ve learned to embrace the heat, and so has my closet.
Nothing says Summer though,

like an all white ensemble.

It makes those tans glow, and gives you this long, lean look when dressed in it from top to bottom. White is hot, and it’s completely chic, always.
But, I’m not gonna lie, white is intimidating.
It’s one of those things where you seriously have to judge your sanity when you wear it out, and prepare to toss away just in case your three year decides he wants to give you lots of chocolate covered kisses, or if the wine thought it’d look better on you then in the glass. I get it, white is scary, but there’s a trick I’ve learned to help you ease into that total sea of white hotness, and it’s easy: go with creme/off-white/ivory etc. You’d actually be surprised to know I’m wearing white shorts with a crème top. I skipped a white shoe and opted for nude, to make my legs look longer than they are. Had I done a white shoe, it wouldn’t give me the long lines I was wanting. It also makes the look seem more natural and casual. I could totally take this look from day to night easy.
I went with a longer pair of shorts because I like that they have a more put together feel and appropriateness. Something about letting my butt hang out in shorty shorts makes me uncomfortable. I mean, I’ll do it, if I haaaaave to, but I’m really content in longer shorts. I opted for a crème color top covered in sequins to give me a fem vibe and add a bit of fancy to it. The rest is just basic and casual.
So give it shot, separate your whites with different shades, try a skinny pant if you don’t like shorts. I think boyfriend rolls ups in white with a white button down would be fabulous. Still weary? Opt for a white dress, done and done. Happy dressing!
