I have a new obsession with coconut oil! I know it’s nothing new and many of you probably already use it but besides it’s obvious uses here are some others that are good to know….
1.) HAIR MASK
A DIY hair mask with kitchen ingredients to help condition and restore dry hair. {Recipe found HERE}
2.) Diaper Rash Cream
Coconut oil has antifungal and antimicrobial properties and is ideal for making diaper rash cream.
Beeswax 1/8 cup (1/2 oz.- granules are easiest, but not necessary) Coconut Oil 2/3 cup (4 1/2 oz.) Zinc Oxide powder 3/4 Tbsp.
3.) Burn relief and scar reduction.
I had a recent run in with my curling iron! OUCH! but thanks to coconut oil, my burn healed better than ever. Coconut oil in itself has a cooling effect on the skin and when applied generously will keep skin supple, moisturized and will prevent peeling, blistering and scarring.
4.) EYELASH THICKENER
Fractionated Coconut Oil and doTERRA’s Lemon essential oil.
Fractionated Coconut Oil has a natural pulling action that draws out impurities. The oil enters the eyelash follicles and works to stimulate regrowth.

5.) acne treatment
6.) FACE MASK
equal parts raw honey and coconut oil {recipe found HERE}
7.) sunscreen
must apply more often than traditional sunscreens but has no added chemicals for your skin to absorb. Lets your body tan naturally.
8.) DIY lip balm
I am swooning over TWO recipes for your own soft lip flavor balm …. PUMPKIN SPICE and CHOCOLATE MINT. I might lick my lips all day wearing either of these ;)
9.) eye make up remover / wrinkle cream
apply on your eyes to remove your make up – rinse with warm water – reapply under and around eyes to reduce wrinkles and moisturize the skin
10.)insect repellant

I just recently bought some coconut oil and I am so in love with how versatile it is!! I had heard some of these but not all and I can not wait to try the lip balm!
I love using coconut on my hair! But, love to eat it too! It makes the best popcorn! Check out my blogpost: http://crazyloucreations.blogspot.com/2013/01/tasty-tuesday-best-popcorn-ever.html
I enjoy your blog, but found this post via Amy’s Notebook!
Have a great day!
